Comments
Comments: Other than the bare booters who completely decimated the last quarter mile, the giant dips/holes full of standing water, and the balling on the snowshoes, the trail is in surprisingly good shape for at least the next 5-6 minutes. The ridge had WAY more snow than I expected, but there was a solid pack under the drifts. The last tenth of a mile up to South was extremely drifted, but I found the trail after a couple seconds of searching. Passed a group of maybe 6 and one lone woman with her dog on the ridge and 2 other ladies just passed the loop junction coming in as I was heading out. Conditions were still good to ascend and descend, though I was very glad I was the first one down today. I don't like sliding and all the drifting and new snow kept me from going far. Keep those snowshoes handy for now my peeps!
