Comments
Comments: Snowshoes door to door for us out there today. Lots of bare booters out before us but they only made it as far as the junction with Faraway Mtn Trail and then we broke trail in very soft and very deep drifts for the rest of the way up to the summit which was bare rock and in the sun. So we spent a well earned 20 min lunch break looking onto Shaw and Roberts and changing into dry socks which didn't stay dry that long into our descent. Only ran into two other snowshoers as we were leaving the summit. Great day overall, snowshoes highly recommended at least for the next few days but it seems as if these conditions won't be around much longer.
