Comments
Comments: 1 male, 1 female, and two cattle dogs. Weather was low wind, sunny, and minimal clouds. Temp was about 35 when we started and was 30 on the summit. The trail was well packed down by snowshoes and other hikers. Snow was more packed powder in the am but by the afternoon everything was turning to slush which made for a slippery trek down. Trail sign lists 2.7 to the summit from the lot. The 52 WAV book says it's 5.4 round trip. All Trails has it at 5.8. My Apple watch with Fitness mode in hiking, was way off at 7 miles round trip so need to investigate that. Loved this hike and want to hike this again in the summer. This is one hike you need to tackle on a clear day because the view is that good. Mout Washington was clear, you can see the Conway area including Cathedral Ledge. Just awesome.
