| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One massive blowdown in between the peaks that is going to need a lot of cleanup. Also one freshie that is currently being held up by another tree, but we’ll see how long that lasts. |

| Comments: |
Trails were in surprisingly good condition. Not nearly as wet and muddy as expected, so we’ll take it!
There are tiny patches of ice/snow well off trail, but that’s it. No need for traction. Since these are the two highest peaks on the Wapack Range, I’d say it’s safe to wager the whole range can be done free of traction.
Side note: when talking to the rangers at Miller, they mentioned they didn’t think the auto road would open to vehicles until mid-May. Apparently DOT found some stuff they didn’t like, and need to do some work on it. |
