| Comments: |
Started early in the clouds and the day ended with bright sunshine and good views from the summits. Running water and mud for the first mile and then a dusting of new snow above that on top of a snow packed trail. We put on our spikes at 1.6 miles and kept them on all the way. No post holing in these conditions but as it gets real warm it will be a bad time without snowshoes, there is three feet of snow up high! Our snowshoes got a free ride today on our packs but better to have them than to need them.
Eric completed his second grid on this hike! Pizza at the Jefferson gas station store was the best party food! |
