Snowshoes went for a ride today! Could not have asked for better conditions this late in the game. Spikes from start to just above Waumbek Station on the Cog where the snow line was. Fairly dry from there down. Saw a few others out enjoying the gorgeous weather. Trail was super solid going up, but if it gets warmer the snowshoes will be a must for about 6 minutes and then it'll just be a nightmare as usual. Not a ton of snow above treeline, but enough that we kept our traction on the whole way. Get it while the gettin's good! |
