We bare booted the whole way but carried spikes. Intermittent patches of hard pack snow and ice for the last 3/4 mile but not consistent enough for spikes. We just went really slow! Snow is mostly stable but we broke through in a couple spots. Test suspect areas with a hiking pole. Stretches of mud, mostly on lower trail, which could mostly be rock hopped but a little was unavoidable. |
