Cog is bare almost to the second station. Put on snowshoes from there for the televators and sliding in slush. Took those off after the steepest sections and put on rock spikes. Took those on and off a couple times until I was in the col then bare booted from there to the summit and back to the Cog. A few snow fields still holding out and the held up for me today. Slid around a little in the top layer of slush, but didn't punch through. Put the good spikes on for the slide down the top of the Cog then bare boots once the snow ended. Weather turned out to be lovely and very little wind. Didn't run into a single person from car to car. Just a bear crossing the cog. |
