Comments
Comments: Made the day’s first tracks from the start to Jackson and Pierce and then from Eisenhower to Monroe. Definitely a decent amount of post holing and trying to stay on the monorail. Snow drifts at higher elevations (Monroe and Eisenhower). Only used microspikes and gaiters (but do consider snow shoes if that will ease your mind). Ammonoosuc got a little slushy at mid day. Still winter conditions! Beautiful hike!
