the small parking lot of 4 cars was full at 8:30am. we parked on the road shoulder. when we left at 2pm, there were about 7 cars. |

the river, about 2 miles from trailhead, was running high but hoppable on rocks and a dead tree trunk that were 20 feet upstream |

barebooted from the trailhead to elevation ~ 2600 feet, then spiked up to the summit and back down to elevation 2600 feet, barebooted back to the trailhead. snowshoes took a free ride. |
