| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Final stretch of road to trailhead is in bad shape. High clearance vehicle suggested, though we managed it in low-clearance hatch back by creeping really slowly and weaving side-to-side to avoid worst craters |

| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Significant, Snow/Ice - Postholes |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Brook Trail would benefit from re-blazing; following it was a guessing game a few times, due to blowdowns and washouts. Could use blowdown-clearing and rebuilding in a few sections. |

| Comments: |
Brook Trail, while lovely, had lots of water on slab sections, making them dicey. Also, higher up we encountered stretches rotten snow full of post holes/hidden chasms. Honestly, I’d suggest picking a different trail or waiting a month or two. Hopefully it will get some blowdown-clearing attention and washout-rebuilding work, maybe water bars etc. It was a tough winter for trails! |
