Comments
Comments: Parked at 19 mile and decided to road walk to camp dodge first and do the loop this direction. The lower portion of Imp trail is dry and snow free for about 2 miles. Once at the snow line, the trail was solid and hard the entire way due to the freeze the night before. Once I got to the ridgeline the wind had calmed down and the sun was shining strong which made for an excellent spring day. I barebooted all the way to Carter Dome without issue but spikes would be helpful. Coming down Carter Dome towards the hut was a little more slick due to the steepness. Lower elevations were getting sticky on the afternoon sun. Perfect opportunity to work on your April hikes...A+ conditions right now.
