Really nice trail to get to Black Cap, albeit a longer hike, but the trail is nice and gradual, with some ups and downs, but nothing steep. Mostly open hardwoods with some nice boulder formations along the way. The trail had some fresh red blazes, although few and far between. At some point the blazes stopped. They either ran out of paint or jurisdiction. Some snow patches in the evergreens toward the top, easy to navigate through. I just used WAUMBEK'S boot prints who was up there earlier this week. Nice chatting with Joyce on the trail. A beautiful day for a walk in the woods. |
