Comments
Comments: Up Ammo/Down Jewell. We did not have any need snowshoes at any point today even though it was a warm day. There is still plenty of snow in the trees but it is all well packed and firm as long as you stay on the trail. There was no real ice on the route. Mostly just a mix of bare rocks in sunny areas and hard pack snow. Spikes worked fine. It possible that you might want more aggressive traction if you were coming down Ammo rather than going up it.
