Comments
Comments: I am putting this on here to let people know that while the Sherburne trail is reportedly only closed in the bottom third, the Gulf of Slides Ski Trail is much different with adequate snow for skinning up/skiing down only on the top quarter of the trail (above 3500 feet). While the skiing was excellent in the Gulf (and not crowded on a day when it seemed hundreds, maybe thousands, were heading to Tuckerman's), be prepared for a long, rough hike through a variety of conditions (mud, rotten patches of snow, etc.) to get to it.

Crampons were quite helpful ascending the Main Gully.
