This was a quick and easy loop, taking me less than an hour. No major issues with the trails, and the trail work here is much appreciated. This is definitely a kid-friendly hike, since I passed at least as many kids on these trails as adults. As I was descending Quarry Trail, several ascending groups asked me if the trails formed a loop - I assured them that they could descend Lakeview Trail to do a loop. The map and guide at the trailhead makes it pretty clear that the trails do indeed form a loop, so I'm not sure how to make that any clearer to these hikers.
By this point in the day, the rain had stopped and the sun had been out for long enough that the rocks and ledges were not slippery anymore. |
