1st and last Impassable, we all know that the water levels can change from am to afternoon. And it had been a couple of days since the last post about the crossings. We knew the water crossings would likely be difficult.
The minor water crossings were easy. |

Some slowdowns on Sandwich Mtn Trail. All trails could use better marking.

| Comments: |
Bare booted all the way until part way up Jennings Peak Spur. With careful foot placement to avoid the ice and snow. Plaved Microspikes part way up Jennings Peak Spur and wore them back down to the place we put them on. Barefooted to the summit of Sandwich Dome and part way down Drakes Brook Trail with careful foot placement. Then we placed our spikes again until we were below the snow/ice. Unable to do the 1st and last water crossing so bushwacked there. Postholed a few times, but snowshoes likely wouldn't have helped due to the depth of the snow. Trail conditions will continue to deteriorate with the warmer weather. |
