| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parked next to the gas station but others had parked at the trailhead lot on Starr King Rd. The ruts going up the road are manageable for some but I didn't want to risk it. It's not a long walk from the gas station |

| Comments: |
Trail is a combo of dry and small patches of mud. About 1.5 miles in an icy monorail starts. It's firm and lumpy the whole way up. Starr King is bare rock and there the snow has melted away fully in some spots on the way to waumbek. The summit is also bare ground. I used rock spikes since you will be switching from ice to rock often now, snowshoes would be pointless now. |
