| Comments: |
Mixed conditions as expected. Dry trail, wet trail and mud down low. Decomposing monorail and somewhat stable snowpack in the trees above 3,000 feet. Lots of rocks and only a few patches of snow in the alpine zone. Barebooted everything except the woods above 3,000 feet. I used beater spikes in the woods on Ammo and Jewell, punching through the thin elevated monorail on Jewell occasionally. Snowshoes wouldn't have worked well today [but should be carried for safety while deep snowpack remains in the woods]. |
