Comments
Comments: Lost Pond trail was dry and quickly navigable.

Wildcat Ridge trail was very steep and rocky and dry for what felt like half the ascent to the ski lift (the dangerous cliff/ledge we had been warned about was snow/ice/water free). The upper half the ascent had some snow and ice, but it was avoidable.

Ascending up to Wildcat D from the ski lift needed traction. Most people were using microspikes. Continuing to Wildcat A along Wildcat Ridge trail required traction. Most of the time microspikes were preferred as the trail was too chewed up for snowshoes. At other times, snowshoes were good to prevent post-holing. Generally, the trail/terrain is in rough shape, but never felt unsafe (we didn't go to descend from Wildcat A to Carter Hut).

Great trail! Looking forward to coming back in summer when the snow/ice are gone, and then again in winter, when everything is covered in snow and ice!
