| Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossings were difficult. It had rained the night before and was drizzling the first 2hrs of the hike before it cleared out. But most of the high water was probably from snow melt. I normally don't have trouble on any of these crossings but this time used hiking waders 3 times. |

| Comments: |
I didn't expect snow on Hancock Notch trail but it started right after the first river crossing. About half of Cedar Brook trail was snow free but all of Hancock Loop trail was snow except for some bare spots on the North Hancock branch. Most of it is unstable monorail and is hard to avoid slipping off even with spikes. Large sections of trail had significant running water and much of the snow was undercut by it cause frequent collapse. Allow extra time. [or bring snowshoes] |
