Several blowdowns in one spot, crossing the trail. Everyone is making a trail around these fallen trees. At approximately 1.3 miles. There’s also a 70ft pine down across the trail before you started which is definitely from recent storms. |

| Comments: |
Trail in the lower section was in very good shape with very little mud. The first mile was pleasant and then we started to climb. There was plenty of wet rocks and standing water once you come out on the lower slabs. All the scrambles in the steep were wet. The flies were most heavy once we came out of the woods and encountered mud, standing water, and pretty deep puddles to walk through. Saw two parties descending and only two parties at the top which is so unusual and quite lovely. The views were pretty nice today as the clouds lifted during our climb. This also made for a pretty warm hike to the summit. |
