| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A cluster of blowdowns about 2/10ths of a mile after the first crossing. One is a huge double trunk - about 20” diameter. The others are branchy and blocking the trail. Some herd paths are forming. Someone did a bit of branch trimming while I was up top but still much to do. Another branchy blowdown in line with and on the trail about 1/2 mile after the BP junction. Another biggish one within the first 1/2 mile of trail. |

| Comments: |
I guesstimate about 7 miles of the almost 10 mile round trip route is snow and ice free. The remainder, starting about 3300 feet, is very lumpy/uneven, sometimes stable, sometimes not, and/or narrow (some balance beam) monorail. You are setting yourself up for injury with snowshoes because it is not wide enough to safely handle those. Most of the monorail is about 6”-12” high. |
