Comments
Comments: Microspike territory up Valley Way. Above treeline, windpacked snow of generally good density for on or off trail travel. Most people were doing fine w/ microspikes, though I put on crampons for Adams onward. Headed over to Mt. Sam Adams for something different, then made our way cross-slope, using part of the upper Great Gully trail, to Durand Ridge for the shortcut to Valley Way (Upper Bruin).

Met a guy who had used ice tools up the Great Gully itself- Kudos!

Temps about +5F on the summits, winds 10-15mph, nice and clear. Good to run into several hiking friends out on this great Presi day. Thanks N&C and Bruce for a good trek.
