Comments
Comments: Conditions were pretty good considering it's typical spring conditions up high. Much better drier and more stable than Hancock Notch trail was the day before. Pine Bend was dry down low. Snow starts a little over 2 miles in but you can bareboot fairly easily to the Scaur Ridge trail junction. The climb to North Tripyramid had several icy patches that required careful footing even with sharp spikes but the section from North to South was mostly just unstable monorail... not difficult just slow.
