Tecumseh from Ski Area: Dry trail until the second river crossing then ocassional patches of snow/ice started but they were easy to avoid until 0.5mi past the view. Above that it was half & half but I found that spikes made it faster. Some might prefer to continue to the summit barebooting. On the way down I still recommend spikes on the upper part but I did see several people without them. Keep in mind that even on the upper part there are many bare areas but where it's covered is mostly ice rather than snow so if your spikes are too dull they won't help much. |
