Comments
Comments: A FINE day was had! Many flowers popping along the logging roads - trout lillies, wild oats, red trillium, painted trillium, what looks to be the start of some blue beads, violets, spring beauties, wood anemones - and that's what I could ID! We rode the bog pond SnoMo corridor, which is a low clearance vehicle could drive up atleast 4 miles on with no issues. Lovely footing. Noted three old abandoned vehicles (like, from a LONG time ago) along the way. We rode this road to the power line swath. I had done a little poking around on Granit View and had seen there may have been something around that might be helpful - keep the river on your left and you may find something very helpful. We used this treat to over elevation 2500 and only got off because it was getting wet. Some hobblebush made it interesting to get up but it was not really anything terrible. Insanely lovely woods along the ridge, but snow (18"-24") in spots enters right around 2950. Hardly worth bringing snowshoes for about 600 horizontal feet - this peak is only 3060 or there abouts. Retraced on way out. Good times!
