Parked at the gate to FR64B, taking care to not block the gate. Kelly Pond Road is marked private but the forest road is available to everyone. |

Maybe if your pup doesn't mind whippy stuff in the face for some time. Other wise, the forest was pretty open, with no ledges, and easy enough grades for any hiking pup. |

Same route followed for many other reports. Walked up the very overgrown FR (following the nature created herd path) to the over grown clearing. Headed up straight towards the summit in open woods, with some whippy stuff to navigate; until I decided to make a diversion to the westerly ridge to see if there were any views; there were not. Revised route directly to the summit and easy to locate register. Was a nice spot to grab a bite to eat before heading down taking a more easterly route. Route was a bit wetter at low elevations before running into the dry snomo trail, and back to the FR. Looks like there is a lot of moose activity in the area. |
