Comments
Comments: This was a fun hike, it ended up taking me 2 hours for 4.3 miles. I was on my way back from the lumber yard and this was a perfect short afternoon jaunt in the woods. The views at the top of the ridge are great, especially the logged summit of Signal Mtn. I parked on quiet Under the Mountain road and set my compass bearing, then followed the zigzag road up to the mine. From there I headed in a straight line following a very faint herd path. Very easy terrain on my way up and I found a moose ribcage and spine near the summit! The way back ended up being more of a bushwhack, I poked my eyeball pretty good. I soon made it back to skidder paths and zigzagged back down to the good dry road.
