| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The final mile of Jericho Road has several blowdowns. The first one is a cluster of fir trees that are completely blocking the trail. We followed the moose path around it. Ext up is an absolutely enormous beech tree. It’s going to take a lot to clear this one. Again a herd path around it. Several other blowdowns approaching Cooley Hill. A few blowdowns on the Yellow Trail heading to Cole Hill. These should be easily cleared. |

| Comments: |
Fun hike with lots of different trails types (forest road, open hardwoods, hemlocks, reforesting logging areas, old homestead sites [maybe]). Incredible amount of moose activity. Lots of prints and lots of droppings (most old). Both Cole Hill and Cooley Hill had a viewpoint! Cole Hill’s is slightly wider (North Twin/Garfield through South Kinsman, plus North Lafayette through Little Haystack) and also has seating! Cooley Hill’s lookout is off an unsigned spur below the fire tower. |
