I was the second vehicle in at 6:30. Lot was full and parking along the access road when I left at 10:30. |

Trail in good shape. A few step overs. Nice job done on the large blow-down area on the east side. |

I was talking with a nice fellow named Mike who was parked beside me when we were leaving. He drove off and left his hiking poles behind. I hung them from a branch where he was parked, hoping that they're still be there when he realizes that he forgot them. |

Nice day for this c'clockwise loop hike. The trails were pretty dry and in good shape. Temps just right with blue skies. Nice running into some familiar faces today and having a nice chat. They asked me which direction is better for this hike. I recommended c'clockwise due to the slab on the west side right when one comes out of the woods which is easier to butt slide down than to try and get up it, especially for us old folks. They said that they had the same problem in the past. Wouldn't it be nice to have a foot (even toe) hold chipped out on that slab? They agreed. Another nice walk in the woods.
