Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Looks like blowdowns have been cleared recently. This trail needs to be blazed more clearly, more consistently (currently a mix of faded paint and small plastic), and more frequently in certain spots. There are many intersecting paths that could easily lead one astray. Ask me how I know. ;) One problem area is an obscure turn at a fork at about 0.7 mi.

Comments
Comments: Completely dry trail today. The first 0.2 mi. up from the trailhead has lots of red trilliums.

The view of Mt. Ascutney from the near-summit lookout is pretty good, but it wouldn't be a bad thing if this cleared vista were trimmed a bit more. Some of the trees are growing up tall. The logbooks here are in good shape.

Despite one other car at the trailhead I didn't see anyone else.
