Comments
Comments: Was a pleasure to run into the founder of the Cardigan Highlanders, Craig Sanborn, for the 3rd straight year raking water bars on West Ridge. Finally had a proper introduction today-visited their website and was very impressed with the amount of trail work he and his organization have completed going back to 1985!

Fun loop with M this morning. We both hiked Vistamont and Back 80 for the first time-both a real pleasure! Back 80 had a real wilderness feel. We bushwhacked to the large beaver pond in search of moose-very scenic spot. Tons of painted trillium have popped up in the last five days since I was in the area. Some people rode mountain bikes from Firescrew summit down to AMC lodge in the last few days -they left deep ruts all over the trails. So good for them!!!Great views as always from all summits. Only saw two humans until firescrew summit, then hordes on west ridge as expected.
