Parked along side Kings Hwy. Pulled off to the side where there was space for only 1 car w/o blocking any driveways or the gate. Had to take care since there were old beer bottles and rusty metal scraps on the road. |

Cooper was ok with this hike. It's a fairly hike easy for dogs. there is a stream to the north of the extension of Kings Hwy for drinking and cooling off. |

Walked around the gate and up Kings Highway. Crossed the drainage ditch and continued straight on the woods road extension where the gravel road turns south. Turned south at the snomo loop road. This road was a bit muddy and soft, so jumped into the woods heading south east to the summit. Headed down the same route. On descending, tried to find the trail through the woods to the north of the Kings HWY. Found some blue blazes, but following it was difficult, so resorted to the road. |
