Comments
Comments: I really wanted to do the stairs up the slide today, got a hitch from the train depot in about 15-20 mins. Going up Kendrick Flume was Amazing. One patch of snow about 30 feet long at 2800 feet. You won’t see it again for another 1000 feet. In and off snow and trail, I bare booted to the summit. Spikes went on as soon as I hit the Willey Ridge Trail. In and off snow, mud, and trail. It honestly wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought given the last trail report before the weekend. The monorail was surprisingly strong enough that I ran half the ridge. Definitely some spots that were pretty slow going. But nothing unbearable. Spikes stayed on until a little bit down Avalon. I imagine going up, I’d most likely keep them off until Tom. Overall a great spring day.
