Started at noon from the bike trail and took the snowmobile path “heritage trail” #11 in to the intersection with Skookumchuck,I was happy to see painted trillium, red trillium and yellow trout Lilly on the ascent.
I saw only 2 other people, they had abandoned their attempt about a quarter mile from the ridge, due to postholing, I think because I am a lightweight I was able to make it to the ridge without too much trouble, the snow is melting, so lots of water and unstable edges, once at the ridge, I only stayed a few minutes as it was spitting rain on me. I wore the spikes for my descent for about a mile. A warm spring day without any black flies is a great day!
