The section of Walden going up to Nanamocomuck Peak is a bit wicked. Downed trees, faded blazes, super eroded around the ledges. Most significant blowdown in the col where the WMG mentioned potential water source is. The shortcut had a couple of small blowdowns, nothing of crazy status. |

Overall not a combination of trails I'd recommend all at once. Really enjoyed dropping into the Oliverian side from Ferncroft, but that section of Walden Trail was a doozy to have only begun halfway through my day. Hibbard and Wonalancet are nice, would make a great day hike. Still cool to see what the area has to offer beyond Pass & WF though!
Note there is no water on this other than Oliverian Brook and the very early brook crossing on Old Mast. |
