Great hike, considered using spikes as we neared the alpine zone due to the trail narrowing and unstable monorail but ended up bare booting just fine. Chose to take Carriage road on the way down as I felt the Gorge Brook trail was too steep and wet. Just past south peak was like walking in a stream but boots stayed relatively dry. Great day clouds held up high so we had great views at the top! |
