Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two of us used hiking waders. One used kitchen trash bags with spikes over. It would have been difficult to stay dry otherwise. Only option would be above the big boulder with a small jump onto a wet rock but if you slipped there you would get injured.

Comments
Comments: The lower part of Rocky Branch was completely dry. We did not take the Engine Hill bushwhack but did take the Crossing Cutoff and Iso Express bushwhacks. The snow is almost completely gone! Only the last 0.2mi of Iso Express and most of Davis Path from the col to the summit spur had snow. The summit spur itself was bare rock. There was light rain today so the trail was wet but then the upper part of Rocky Branch always is rock hopping in a stream. We were plesantly surprised by Iso Express. There was no mud until the last 0.2mi. That part was messy with snow, mud, and blowdowns but it was short. Some people would be fine barebooting the entire day but we used spikes for that part and Davis Path. Overall pretty good conditions... considering.
