Heinous amount of black flies at trailhead. Not an issue once we started moving, nor were they an issue when we stopped for lunch at the cabin. |

| Comments: |
Out and back via Bunnell Notch. Trail was snow-free except for one section of Kilkenny Ridge between Bunnell Rock and the cabin where monorail had become very slick due to rain. The ice/monorail was under a foot deep. Spikes came along for the ride but would have helped if we took the time to put them on. |
