Comments
Comments: After seeing no posts showing an approach from the west, I thought I’d include one. Surry Mt Trail is a well maintained trail that does not go to the summit, but starts off in an area of beautiful meadows and quickly crosses a swimming hole area on a nice footbridge. Once over the river, I headed south for roughly .3 and then began a steep wac, avoiding ledgy areas at times, through beautiful open woods to the RHP on the summit. 1 mile to the summit from the parking lot.
