Parking was very easy, not very busy on a Monday morning. Two big drainage dips on the dirt road in, small cars might struggle. |

| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Very minimal water crossings, no issues at all! |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Well maintained and well marked with yellow blazes |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
One adorable puppy on top of Starr King, had no trouble hiking it at 4 months. |
|
| Bugs: |
Lots at the beginning of the hike and at both summits, a little relief in the shady, middle part of the hike. We got eaten pretty badly during the last mile and a half of the decent in early afternoon, I think mostly black flies and little gnats although there were some mosquito bites too. |

| Comments: |
This hike was gorgeous, especially for the wildflowers in the lower section, and the views of the peaks near each summit. We saw lots of birds, including a pileated woodpecker and two Canada jays at the summit. Not much snow left, what was there was slick, but there was enough room to walk around most of it. We carried our spikes, but didn't need them. |
