Comments
Comments: Second hike of the day to finish my redlining of the Wapack Trail. Thanks to my friend who gave me a car spot after our traverse of the Wapack just south of this. The section north of Conant Hill, especially close to Nashua Rd seemed very lightly travelled and kind of random/awkward but overall the trail was quite flat and pleasant. Even Kidder Mtn Trail itself was rather flat for climbing a mountain. The short section along the powelrine it follows was a pain as it was incredibly muddy as was a short section where the trail entered the woods. The summit of Kidder Mtn is a cool spot with nice views. I walked around and explored the summit a wee bit. Wapack Trail follows some roads before reaching Kidder Mtn Trail but just keep an eye out for blaze and signs and you should be fine. I hiked out Wapack Trail, walked the road north, then did an OAB on Wapack Link for redlining. Gaia had me at 5.4mi, 625ft of gain, 2hr10min.
