Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues anywhere.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Removed some blowdowns, still a few large ones remaining on the blue trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Great trails for dogs; only found one or two ticks crawling on my clothing.
Bugs
Bugs: Still swarming, and now ferocious, a big contrast to just last week! Higher grass left from logging on blue trail by Old Stage Road looked ticky to me...used my free pole to switch the grass ahead of walking. Seemed to work fine.

Comments
Comments: Took advantage of the cool morning to check out another round of trails. Trees down on Old Stage between the red and blue trails have seen some action, whether it be by truck or man. Easier to maneuver. There is a visible foot bed on the blue trail leaving Old Stage, though it doesn't seem to see as much action so pay attention as the grass grow more (see insect field). Saw three other people, and a truck driving east near the blue trail. Good morning to be out!
