Cleaned up some more messy hemlocks on Round Pond Trail. Between that trail's two crossings of Reservation Rd., there are three spots that need chainsaw cleanup, all right near each other. The biggest is a multi-tree calamity. I did some trimming here and it's passable by foot but watch your head. North Mtn. Trail still has one easy step over near Reservation Rd. |

There was less wind today so the black flies were more bitey, but it does seem like they are tapering off. |

Did a short loop to continue work along Round Pond Trail. Dry ground everywhere. Despite the holiday weekend there weren't too many people around. |
