| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
At 10:20am the parking area was full and there were several cars parked along Hurricane Mtn. Rd. Some sections of Hurricane Mtn. Rd. are clearly marked "No parking" or "No parking between signs", but there are other sections that are apparently fine to park in, as long as you can do so without blocking the lane of traffic in either direction. We parked in such a section a few hundred feet east of the trailhead. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
There are some small crossings, but series of logs stacked next to each other made them easy to cross. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Excellent condition, except for the mud at the very beginning of the trail - as Olderthandirt said, bog bridges there might be nice. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Fine for dogs. |
|
| Bugs: |
Quite a few mosquitoes. Also some black flies, but they were not biting. |

| Comments: |
There is some mud at the very beginning of the trail, but one can avoid it by walking on the logs along the trail (if you have an OK sense of balance or have poles), and it's only for 20 feet or so, so it's really not an issue. The rest of the trail was dry, except for a few brief places where there seemed to be a spring making a rock or two wet - again not an issue: easy to step over. |
