Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All hoppable just past Zealand Hut. A few that usually aren't even noticeable on Hale Brook are ripping right now, but are easily crossing. Good spots for filtering.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lend-A-Hand was in great shape. The "wet" area is relatively dry, the bog bridges were dry. One blowdown on the Twinway, up past Zeacliff.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Several well-behaved dogs, most of them looking like they were still adjusting to the warm-up in temps.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes were out in force, but not overwhelming. No black flies. A light wind kept most bugs away most of the day.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Someone left a black winter hat on a tree branch on Lend-A-Hand.

Comments
Comments: Made this a sunrise hike to Zeacliff, which was spectacular, and then on up to Zealand. There are three patches of snow above Zeacliff - two you can go around and the third had a stable monorail. Lend-A-Hand was a very nice and quiet trail with a side spur view out to Mount Carrigain. Hale had grey jays and Hale Brook Trail, while rocky, was a nice descent.
