Comments
Comments: Parking lot nearly full by 7:15am. There are bathrooms near the trailhead as the trail starts at a campground. Climbed up the Hi Cannon and descended from the lonesome lake trail (i.e., counter-clockwise). Trails were in good shape. Not particularly wet, the ladder on Hi Cannon was a fun feature. Saw only 2 other groups on the way up on Hi Canon, more groups on the descent via lonesome lake trail. Lonesome lake trail has a notable steep section that took extra time to descend. Essentially no snow/ice (found a couple of small spots on the lonesome lake trail). Bugs were not an issue. Observation tower was busy but, the vast majority of folks came via Kinsman ridge.
Wonderful hike.
