Very few bugs on Garfield and Bondcliff, but they are not biting flies or mosquitoes. |

Did a single-day clockwise Pemi Loop on Sunday. Stellar conditions above and on the ground. First signs of some light water/mud along Garfield Ridge between Lafayette and Garfield, then again between Garfield and South Twin, and the normal spring flowing on the steep downhill after Garfield Ridge tentsite from the water source. Only snow that needed to be stepped on were maybe half a dozen tiny patches on the Twinway between South Twin and Guyot. I only mention them here because you'll get one last chance to see a little white, but there is absolutely no traction necessary at any point on the whole loop. |
