Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This was our annual spring maintenance. Cleared 36 drainages. A high water event clearly occurred (likely December) due to some drainages being already cleared or widened since we last performed work in October. Two of the drainages we cleared will need to be dug out next time we visit due to vegetation growing in the soil. We cleared 5 blowdowns from the trail, but there are 4 blowdowns that we could not clear. One of those blowdowns (at 2775 feet elevation) is significant, requiring people to carefully circumvent. The remaining blowdowns will either be a problem soon or are an issue in winter, as they’re hovering overhead.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a great frail for dogs hiking Tripyramid!
Bugs
Bugs: The wind and cool temperature kept bugs at bay.
